A Thankful Heart

This past week was Thanksgiving and I spent it in a cozy little cabin in Blowing Rock, NC with my siblings, aunt, and uncle. It was so nice to have a few days off to recharge and relax before the hustle and bustle of the holidays. Our cabin had amazing views of the Appalachian Mountains that I got to enjoy Thursday. : ) The crisp mountain air was good for the soul. After an amazing meal, which put me and the rest of the clan in a food coma, my brothers (brother-in-law & bro) started up a cozy fire pit. We roasted marshmallows and enjoyed watching the sunset with the sound of the crackling fire. It was mesmerizing watching the glow of the fire whilst being under the stars. As I sat there, I was reminded of how blessed I am. I have a wonderful family, an amazing boyfriend, and friends who genuinely care about me. I have a cute little house, a good job (2 to be exact), an awesome car that I love driving, and the list goes on. I’m thankful for the ups and downs that this year has brought. As another Thanksgiving goes down in the books, I want to continue practicing having a heart of thankfulness every day and not just once a year. I hope everyone had full hearts and bellies this Thanksgiving!
